These terms apply to your use of edgefallstudios.com and any products or services I offer under the Edgefall Studios brand.

Edgefall Studios is the trade name of Edgefall LLC, a New York limited liability company that I'm the sole member of. Throughout these terms, "I" and "me" refer to me, Chris McGowen, the human running everything; "Edgefall" refers to the LLC where the company name is the right level of formality.

1. Acceptance

By using this website or any Edgefall Studios product, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site or the products.

2. Products

Software I make under this brand may be distributed via Patreon, third-party storefronts, my own website, or other channels added over time. Each product is governed by its own license, included with the product itself. The terms here apply to your use of this website and any general inquiries.

3. Intellectual property

The Edgefall Studios brand, name, and logo are the property of Edgefall LLC. Software I distribute and its associated text, code, art, and audio are the property of Edgefall LLC unless otherwise noted in the product's accompanying license. Compatibility with third-party platforms or systems doesn't imply affiliation with or endorsement by their respective rights holders.

4. Disclaimers

This website and its content are provided "as is," without warranty of any kind, express or implied. I make no guarantees about the availability, accuracy, completeness, or fitness for any particular purpose of this website or any products I distribute.

5. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Edgefall LLC and I are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of this website or any product.

6. Third-party services

This website and any products may link to or integrate with third-party services including Patreon, Cloudflare, and others. I'm not responsible for the content, availability, or practices of those services. Use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

7. Refunds

Refund handling depends on the channel through which you obtained a product. The applicable channel's refund policy governs. For unusable software where I can't resolve a reproducible bug within a reasonable period, I will honor a reasonable refund request directly — email me.

8. Changes

I may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the website after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, United States, without regard to its conflict of laws principles.
